“Is what you see really what you get?”

Worldwide trends are moving away from the pure contemporary in all areas of our society, from fashion to food, and to furniture. Wood traditionally massaged, by true craftsmen with traditional skills into beautiful fine furniture, is the complimentation of any home or business. This is particularly so where grain is selected , timbers are correctly dried, and manufacture and assembly are undertaken by skills (now unavailable in the west), as have been done by artisans for many generations.

Our business is focused on both retail and wholesale activity either direct from Indonesia to customers worldwide or through out retail business in Tasmania where furniture can be delivered anywhere in australia. Please contact us for additional prices or container ex factory prices through the contact on this webbsite.

We at Tifurni Interiors are regenerating (what were traditional) designs by the selection of the finest timbers from plantations in Indonesia, and turning them into items which will become part of the family, something to adorn or simply just to view in their natural state.

The proof of what you see is what you get is through our quality checking of all aspects of the construction and finishing and distribution, to ensure that the product will last for generations and in fact mellow with age.

Construction includes traditional methods and techniques, so that the product is solid and durable with dovetails, mortise and tenon, or locked joints applied by the best craftsmen to all our products.

Seasoning of timbers is essential in the process of achieving the highest quality product.
Wood must be dried right to the centre prior to construction .This can occur as air dried over a long time or through the use of electonically controlled ovens.

Wood expands and contracts in response to the moisture content of the surrounding air widthways across the grain much more than lengthways so design is absolutely essential in determining the best way to join timbers and this can only be achieved by the most expert craftsmen.
Moisture content is checked at various stages during construction and assembly with maximum levels of moisture being enforced prior to acceptance of the product for completion
We at Tifurni Interiors have been involved in construction of furniture in Indonesia since 1989 and have during that time worked closely with professional cabinet making training institutions to ensure that the selection of our craftspeople is an essential pre-eminent aspect of our business.

Primarily we wish all customers to be totally satisfied with our products and have for many years designed and manufactured many unique pieces of furniture.
Unfortunately the mal alignment of Indonesian furniture has primarily related to incorrect drying of timbers and poor quality manufacture.
